Two young Senegalese cousins attempt a perilous overland journey across the Sahara to reach Europe, experiencing ruthless exploitation by corrupt officials and harrowing ill treatment from vicious gangmasters and criminals, but also sympathetic help from fellow migrants. This visually stunning film is a searing indictment of the experiences of would-be migrants.
